Orimattila is a town and municipality in the Päijänne Tavastia region, Finland. The municipality has a population of 15,955 (31 July 2020) and covers an area of 814.01 square kilometres (314.29 sq mi) of which 28.87 km2 (11.15 sq mi) is water. The population density is 20.32 inhabitants per square kilometre (52.6/sq mi). The municipality is unilingually Finnish. The municipality of Artjärvi was consolidated with Orimattila on 1 January 2011.
